hello! i'm dollie, your not-so-local cryptid on the web. i've been roleplaying since the ancient year of 2009, when i was just a little rabbit who wanted to play warrior cats. it was then i discovered the hobby of roleplay on a little board hosted on forumotion, and fell in love with it all. i've since bounced around on different platforms, mostly forum based, until starting my first rp blog on tumblr in 2015. where i've since made my primary home. more recently i've dabbled in 1x1, and small group discord servers.
i'm quite reserved, and tend to lurk on my dash more than i post. even so i still enjoy chatting with my writing partners. you're always welcome to pop into my messages on either my rp blog or my ooc blog.
as a writer i like to focus on deep character development, and the relationships between characters. i typically take my time, and try to really refine my replies. threads tend to be slow moving, with large word counts.
* The doctrine !!
there is a dead dove, inside a brown paper bag labeled “DEAD DOVE - DO NOT EAT”. should you look inside and become upset over the sight of the dead dove, it’s not the fault of the person who has left it there. you were warned and went against the warning. now if you choose to proceed to then eat the dove, it is only your fault to have done so. getting angry with the person who left the dove in the fridge only continues in harming yourself more.most of you should be familiar with the common tag “dead dove do not eat” by now. a warning that a fic, other piece of fan work, or any other creative work may contain disturbing or problematic themes/depictions/content. i consider this my golden rule here.
i am responsible for warning you of the content on my page, but it is your choice to consume it. my style i’m a bit of an old-fashioned rper, i wrote on forums which were labeled as literate rps and i carry most of those habits still. word counts of anywhere between 200-400 were often required. i often still aim for such goals when writing replies, if not higher. replies are also slow, taking serveral weeks and upwards to two months at times. replies on discord are faster vs. tumblr where i try to run the blog on a queue.
for first interactions, unless you’ve replied to an open starter on my blog, i prefer to do some light plotting. considerations for how our characters might get along, or where they might even meet. I do not write greeting starts, but I make an effort to reply to any written for me.
i am not a stickler for perfect grammar and punctuation. i personally try to work on my replies over a period of time in which i proofread it several. even then i still make mistakes, and i don't expect anybody else to expend on much energy on it as i do. as long as your replies are legible and i can understand what's being written i'm perfectly fine with it.
tumblr obitvaries is an independent blog, and while it may be affiliated with others, it is not a part of a larger structured group. as such, the only rules this blog is beholden to are my own as written down below. these rules are subject to change at any time and were last updated august 2nd, 2025.
0bitvaries is extremely private, choosing to only interact with mutuals. those whose blogs’ i follow, and follow mine in return. outside of this no threads, or in character asks will be answered. out of characters asks from non-mutuals may be answered on a case by case basis.
i am extremely selective in who i choose to follow and interact with, and am not here looking to gain numbers. i am only looking to follow those who i see the potential for long-lasting plots and fun character interactions with.
discord i am currently highly selective in accepting discord threads. i'm more likely to accept already established partners on tumblr over others. at this time i'm only interested in private 1x1 or small group servers. at this time i am not looking to join any public rp servers.

i am nearing my 30s with every passing year, and have no patience to soften or censor my writing. this blog is an adult environment with adult content. i ask that anybody under 18 does not interact with this blog, and i will be wary of following anybody under 21. as such anybody who may prefer to keep it PG, may wish to also steer clear of this blog.

activity will be slow, and and my blog will remain on a permanent semi-active status. posts will mostly be queued, with two to three threads/replies added in per week. large multi-para threads, while being my primary focus, are going to be limited to a reasonable amount. if i feel i can no longer keep up, i will stop accepting new threads.
availability may be sporadic, as there are many other things that take precedence over my ability to be here. my discord is available on request to writing partners with my DMs open here and on my personal.

affiliates friends of the mun/blog. we may or may not have muses with lore dependent on the other.
exclusives may be blog wide, or muse specific. the only blog/version of a character i will write with. i consider exclusivity on a case by case basis, and will typically only offer/agree to it with partners i've already written with for a long time.
mains these may also be blog wide or muse specific. these may also be one of my own muses ( ex. my gin ichimaru and rangiku mastsumoto ). these characters are the main version of said character for my muse or blog. like exclusives they'll be mentioned in threads, and be taken into account in my main verses when writing.
˚♡˚.⋆ OOC interactions
i prefer to keep all the drama and tragedy to the page. there will be no tolerance for out of character drama, name-calling, callout posts, gossiping, bigotry, or petty nonsense. those involved in such things will be swiftly blocked and held there.
i use roleplay as a means of stress relief and escapism from the daily hardships of life. while i offer no kindness to those stirring up drama, i understand that the events of the world effect many of us on a day to day level now. i have politics and current events blacklisted, and simply ask you tag your posts accordingly. should it become a consistent topic on your blog, i may choose to block you for my health and sanity.

following/unfollowing when checking out a new follower i will take the same time to look over their blog before deciding weather or not i will follow back. typically i give myself two to three weeks to decide. the first thing i always look for is a rules page. if there is none, i will not follow back. if there appears to be no intention of adding one, the blog will be blocked.
i may unfollow for a variety of reasons, though typically it is for a lack of activity. should a blog be inactive longer than a few months i will soft-block it to remove it from my followers list. other reasons for unfollowing may include; posting of certain OOC content or simply too much of it, an excessive amount of dropped threads, or muses not clicking.
when choosing not to follow back a blog or breaking mutuals, i will temporarily block the blog. i tend to clear this useless bloat from my block list every few weeks to months. after which there is typically no harm in following and trying again. people grow and change, blogs too.
let it first be said that if I have followed you, i have read all of your rules several times over already. as well as have given any supplementary information ( biographies, headcanons, etc) about your muse/s a look over. if possible i will have read through parts of threads and other in-character material.
i will not follow first without some idea for potential connection between our muses, and ask that you do the same.
dupes/varients i am, for the most part, variant/duplicate friendly! i have no issue with duplicates/varients, though my interest in interacting with them varies according to muse. it's just that i'm more wary, or personally possessive of certain muses ( which is a personal issue, and something i will never attack anybody over. ) but given an interesting portrayal i am generally willing to overcome any discomfort. for most, I am perfectly happy seeing others who love the same characters! i love inviting in multiverse shenanigans and may even be willing to try out a twins plot someday.
breaking the ice ask memes are usually the best way to break the ice. i do not post open starters often, and i don't make greeting posts though i try to respond to any that i am tagged in. at times i may make posts searching for partners interested in specific plots or verses, and i encourage new partners to let me know if any of these interest them. i also welcome unprompted asks, or you can come say hi ooc in DMs.
˚♡˚.⋆ Portrayals
i work hard to craft unique portrayals of my muses, and tend to think of them more as original characters. writing their lore and details as i please. fleshing them out however i choose. rather than rigidly sticking to a canon portrayal. as such most of my muses are canon divergent and highly headcanon based.
drug use in characters recreational use and abuse of various drugs/ substances is common among my characters. for some, it is far more likely to be mentioned. alcohol and marijuana, or fictional stubstites for either, are the most common.
- gin ichimaru - does a variety of drugs and is usually willing to try anything once. has a preferance for cocaine, and a fictional drug referred to as hellflower.
- chiari ito - chain smokes anything that can give her a high including; marijuana, hellflower, blue lotus, opium, etc.
- rangiku matsumoto - an alchoholic who chainsmokes cigarettes.
- kenny mccormick - a heavy marijuana smoker. underage smoking and potdealing may be mentioned or brought in regards to kenny in threads.
- knockout - functioning alchoholic who is hardly ever sober, and is no stranger to other fictional robot drugs.
- natalia hansley - lives most of her with a bong in her hand.
south park while i'm happy to write the characters at their canon age, i typically write and form my headcanons/plots for my south park muses during their late highschool to early adult years. most things in canon are good to go, as such mentions of underage muses in sexual/explicit situations may be alluded to but NEVER depicted. ( there is a whole fucking episode about kenny trying to get a blowjob and then dying from it. )
bleach most of my bleach muses have taken on a life of their own, and really more exist in an expanded alternate universe that i've been crafting for years now. it varies depending on the muse how much they still adhere to their canon counterpart. both gin and rangiku have had the most work done in expanding their lore, and reworking on their original designs.
knockoutdeserving a warning of his own, knockout ( and by extension most any transfomer muse i write now ) more or less belongs to my own personal transfomers au. while most of my information is based on the transformers prime cartoon, and the aligned universe books ( or what i can stomach to read of them ). there are pieces taken from the g1 cartoon, as well as the idw comics. the rest is filled in with my own made up lore.
you might notice that i don't use the canon spelling of his name, choosing to omit the space in it. ( knockout instead of knock out ). i'd prefer when writing with, or referring to my knockout you do the same, but is not something i cause a fuss over.
many aspects of knockout's lore and portrayal are potentially triggering. he both faces, and holds his own prejudices. there is very little he is not willing to do to survive, and during the war often takes sadistic pleasure in doing so. there is much medical malpractice, drug use, abuse, toxicity, violence and gore here. if there are any of my muses who i urge you to read my pages for before interacting with, it's him.
˚♡˚.⋆ Threads & Plotting
as mentioned previously i particularly focus on long, multi-para to novella style threads. revolving around character development and exploration. i really like to push the boundaries and come up with unique ways to push my muses.
i find it important to get some basic plotting out of the way before we write together. like how are our muses meeting or how did they meet? what are some of the reason they could get along, and why might they not? i’m looking for the type of relationship we want to build between these characters, and how they might interact. while i’m more than happy to wing the contents of threads, and write spontaneous ideas i feel more comfortable with an end goal in mind.
various threads and plots are always welcome, i don’t ever put a cap on how many threads i will write with one person. if we’ve got more ideas flowing i’m biting to write them with you. i’m more than happy to have a universe where our muses hate each other, and another where they’re best friends. let’s see what all the different possibilities are!
short threads with short replies are also fun, but are usually reserved for silly things that may be dropped. these threads may be slightly out of character, or not taken as seriously. not in a negative way, but in a “i’m just writing this to have fun and be silly, not write a deep introspective about why rangiku can never seem to focus in december.”

i use graphics because i enjoy using them. there is something fun for me in creating pretty things and aesthetics to decorate my blog in. however, i try not to let them get in the way of my writing. if i don’t have icons for a character, i won’t use them. they’re not important for me, they’re just something extra that gives me a lil serotonin boost. i’m not worried about weather or not you’re using them either so please do as you prefer.
i make most of my own graphics, and anything not made by me is credited below. Most everything is created with images from various png packs, and my own art. art that is now mine will be credited below.
i hold a preferance for animated faceclaims, that being said i often cannot cannot find one i think is just right. most icons which are not canon are likely manga edits i've made. some characters also have actor/actress faceclaims, or may already come from a live action movie. in these cases i don't mind using/may choose to use icons of them.
˚♡˚.⋆ shipping
chemistry is king, always! building complex relationships between muses is most of the reason i enjoy roleplay. the relationships built do not always necessarily need to be romantic. enemies, best friends, siblings… these are all different connections that are exciting to explore.
when it does come to shipping our muses romantically, i prefer to have known the mun and written with them before. though that shouldn’t stop you if you’re new here and interested in something on my searching page! i’m happy to plot out some ideas and write a few threads to test waters.
when it comes to writing with multiple versions of one character, i try to explore different ways those characters might interact. there may be exceptions, but for the most part i keep to one character to relationship. Meaning i might ship Rangiku romantically with one Gin, while exploring their friendship having fallen apart with another.
relationships among my own muses may even shift, or be wildly different depending on the verse i am writing in. Chiari and Rangiku love each other in some, while in other’s the tension between them has instead become something toxic.
˚♡˚.⋆ not safe for work
i’ve already mentioned that material that is NSFW or not suitable for minors may be portrayed on this blog. mentions of drug and alcohol use/abuse may appear. as well as extreme violence, light mentions of gore, and other such things you might find in horror movies/anime. depictions of mental illness and it’s symptoms may be written or discussed on this blog. things such as dissociation, derealization, depersonalization, thoughts of harm against oneself and others.
sexual topics may be discussed or depicted in threads too. i don’t write smut too often with others, and prefer not write it without some intention. that is to say i don't typically write smut spontanously. more often than not I will allude to the characters just having finished or fading to black. When i do write smut, i only write it with long-term mutuals and usually when we’ve already got an active ship going.
i strive to tag all my posts properly! that being said, things slip through the cracks. if there’s something i’ve missed or something special you’d like tagged please don’t hesitate to ask.
